​Just like our favorite celebrities, we all have big events in our lives when we want to look and feel our best. Debbie Fowler was looking forward to weddings and holiday events last year when she turned to her friends at Face and Body Group in Marietta, GA for some help in getting Red Carpet Ready.

Social media is the new word-of-mouth and is a resource that many consumers rely on for reviews and advice.  It is also a great tool that your practice can use to deepen relationships with existing patients.

It can be difficult to know how to get started with launching your practice online.  According to Pew Research Center (http://www.pewinternet.org/2015/08/19/the-demographics-of-social-media-users/) about 72% of adult’s online use Facebook; choosing this social media platform is a good start.

​Here are 4 Cosmetic marketing ideas to stand out on Facebook:
1.  Make sure to use the call-to-action button
The call-to-action buttons link current and potential patients to relevant destinations that are on and off Facebook.  Currently Facebook offers 7 call-to-action buttons to choose from and the most relevant options for a cosmetic practice include, “Book Now,” “Contact Us,” “Sign Up,” and “Watch Video.”
Incorporating the call-to-action buttons into your Facebook marketing strategy will drive engagement.

2.  Take advantage of custom Facebook Tabs
You can use tools like Shortstack (hyperlink) and North Social (hyperlink) to create custom Facebook tabs for your brand pages.  Growing your email list and also encouraging your patients to use a portal is important to your business’s success online.  You can design an email opt-in tab so that patients can subscribe to newsletters without leaving Facebook.

3.  Market to your local audience
One of the most effective cosmetic practice marketing ideas is to target your local audience with social media advertising.  Facebook advertising allows businesses to choose their specific audience based off of their clients demographic.  You can even target your audience based on interest, consumer behavior, and online connections.

It’s a new year and one of your goals may be to improve your marketing efforts. There are new mediums to explore in social media and marketing! Even if improving marketing for your practice was not one of your a resolutions, it is important to take inventory from the previous year. Below are a few tips on how you can prepare to dominate marketing in 2016:

1. Spend time evaluating the brand of your practice - A growing brand will amplify your marketing efforts. Have you taken the time to think about how you want your brand to evolve this year? A strong sense of brand will improve your marketing and give your employees a better sense of what they represent.

2. Evaluate your social media platforms - The one thing that is constant in marketing and social media in change. You can take measures to ensure that you are prepared for change. Adopt to other platforms, learn them and integrate them into your strategy. If you created an Instagram profile for your practice that you did not upload any photos to in 2015, delete it!  Move on and focus on the platforms that work for you.

3. Calculate your marketing ROI - Each year, some marketing platforms soar in popularity, while others don’t perform as well. In order to better your bottom line, you will have to make some decisions based on the ROI you are getting across platforms. Cutting spending in some areas will create more of a budget for new, more effective channels. One of the most effective ways to grow your business is by expanding your services to new and current clients.  The cost of acquiring more business with customers who already know you will be low.

  1. Try new strategies with your best customers – It is never easy to roll out a new service to everyone at the same time.  Ask your most loyal clients first what they think and any other questions you would like answered.
  2. Know your Product – Ensure that you and your staff are all trained on the products and services being offered.
  3. Capture a Success Story – If you have success with one customer with your product make sure to document the process.  It will be effective to show a real-life example to other clients and you can also share this on social media.
  4. Use Social Media – Make sure to make your clients aware of the different products you have by advertising it on social media or perhaps writing a blog post!
  5. Offer a Trial – If it is possible offer a trial of your product to a client.  If all the client needs is to test it out this is a good option.
